Record Plant’s previous website didn’t reflect the prestige of such an iconic recording studio. While it was responsive, the design was outdated, and the only way to book studio sessions was via email—a process that fell short of the seamless experience you’d expect from a studio with such a rich history.
The goal was to create a modern, visually stunning design that not only honored Record Plant’s legacy but also elevated the user experience. This included improving mobile page load speed, enhancing mobile usability, and streamlining the booking process to make it as exceptional as the studio itself.
As the designer and developer, I reimagined the entire website. I incorporated a more comprehensive history section to showcase the studio’s incredible legacy, and I revamped the booking process to make it intuitive and accessible. Built with Next.js and hosted on Vercel for blazing-fast performance, the redesigned site was a significant improvement over its predecessor.
Although the project was put on hold before it could go live, the new design stands as a testament to what a modern, high-quality experience for Record Plant could look like—one worthy of its storied reputation.
